WHAT TO EXPECT:
When making an appointment with our naturopath in Tauranga or Gisborne for the first time
When you make a booking with Natureforce for an initial consult, a pre-consult questionnaire is required to be completed 2 days before the consult.
This Questionnaire is located here on the website.
This Questionnaire is very important as it means preparation is able to be carried out prior to the consult so that your valuable time & money is not wasted collecting personal details etc. If the Questionnaire is not completed prior to the initial consult, the appointment with our naturopath will have to be postponed to a later date.
An initial consult with our naturopath is 1 hour long.
There may be some base line testing such as blood pressure undertaken depending on your health complaint.
During your consult we will be delving into the following areas:
- Medical History
- Family Medical History
- Current level of activity
- A thorough analysis of all body systems
- Stress levels (family/friends & work life)
- Day to day energy levels
- Most importantly in depth analysis of the health complaint
NOTE: Please can you bring along any supplements or medications you may be taking.
You will leave the initial consult with some basic guidelines regarding nutrition and lifestyle and depending on the health complaint you may be prescribed nutritional supplements & herbal supplements on the spot. However if the naturopath practitioner considers further research needs to be undertaken you will be required to come back for a follow up consult the following week where you will be presented with your treatment options.
Follow up consults:
Generally speaking, our naturopath likes to have monthly follow ups so that we can help keep you on track or make any changes that may be required. However time frames for follow up consults may vary depending on what you are actually being treated for.
Typically the first follow up will be for an hour and from there half an hour consults should be all you need.
Here at Natureforce we realise that #@! happens in our lives.
If you need to postpone or cancel an appointment we ask that you give us 24 hours’ notice as these appointment slots are valuable and another client may wish to fill the vacant slot. If you do cancel or postpone without 24 hours notice you will be charged for the cost of the appointment.
However, should we postpone or cancel your appointment without 24 hours’ notice, your next consult will be free of charge.
